Griffin’s Story

Griffin inspired so many all over the world by his strength, determination, and positive attitude.

Griffin was born June 29, 2010 in Scottsdale, Arizona. A day after he was born, he was diagnosed with an extremely rare and complex airway malformation called a tracheal esophageal cleft. This meant that his airway and esophagus had no division, which did not allow Griffin to be able to eat or speak. It also required him to live with a trach and frequently needed to be on a ventilator to provide support for breathing.

Throughout the seven years of Griffin’s life, he endured over 500 procedures and spent countless days at the hospital. Despite this difficult journey, Griffin was known for his upbeat attitude, infectious smile, and his passion for life. Griffin was able to experience amazing opportunities and met countless friends along the way.
